Expert Advice

What can I inflate with a Monstapump?

The Monstapump is a high-volume, low-pressure pump designed for Zempire Monstabeds and Monstamats. The Monstapump is not suitable for air tents.

Its comes with additional nozzles may also fit other low-pressure inflatables, including:

  • Small Inflatable Toy Nozzle
  • Classic Brass Valve Nozzle
  • Boston Valve Nozzle

Always check the product’s instructions, valve type and recommended pressure before use.

What nozzles come with the Monstapump?

The Monstapump includes four interchangeable nozzles to suit a range of Zempire and compatible inflatables:

  • Monstabed/Monstamat nozzle: For Zempire Monstabeds and Monstamats fitted with the 360° valve.
  • Classic brass valve nozzle: For older self-inflating camping mats with a threaded brass valve.
  • Boston valve nozzle: For low-pressure airbeds, inflatable loungers and similar inflatables.
  • Small inflatable nozzle: For items such as inflatable pillows, beach balls and other small inflatables.

Always check the product’s instructions, valve type and recommended pressure before use. Only use the Monstapump with products suitable for a maximum pressure of 0.7 PSI, and stop the pump when the recommended firmness or pressure is reached.

Can I use the Monstapump to inflate my Zempire air tent?

No. The Monstapump is a low-pressure pump designed for Monstabeds, Monstamats and compatible low-pressure inflatables.

How do I unlock and turn on my Monstapump?

Before use, make sure your Monstapump is fully charged.

  1. Remove the power switch protector.
  2. Press and hold the power switch until the indicator flashes green. The pump is now unlocked.
  3. Press the switch once to start the pump. Press it again to stop.

To lock the pump for storage, press and hold the switch until the indicator flashes red, then replace the protector.

What's the difference between a Monstabed and Monstamat?

Monstabeds have two layers - an inflatable TPU coated air base and a Monstamat self-inflating foam upper. They combine the best of both worlds between a sleeping mat and an airbed at 42cm thickness.

Monstamats are self-inflating camping mats so are 10cm thick. These can be used directly on tent floors or on top of camp cot stretchers.

Can I purchase replacement nozzles?

Yes. Replacement nozzles are available to purchase as a complete Monstapump Nozzle Set, containing all four nozzles supplied with the pump. You can also find other parts in our Spare Parts for Pumps collection.
