Terms and conditions

1. Promoters

1.1 The promoters of the Ultimate Zempire Camping Set-Up Giveaway (Promotion) are: 

 a. HUNTFISHCO NEW ZEALAND CO-OPERATIVE LIMITED, NZBN 9429038817588 (Hunting & Fishing New Zealand); and 

 b. FLOW IMPORTS LIMITED, trading as Zempire Camping, NZBN 9429034152720 (Zempire). 

1.2 Together, Hunting & Fishing New Zealand and Zempire are referred to as the Promoters. 

1.3 The Promotion is run by Hunting & Fishing New Zealand in collaboration with Zempire. Zempire will host the online entry form, contact the selected entrant and manage distribution of the Prize. Hunting & Fishing New Zealand will announce the selected entrant through its official social-media channels. 

2. Acceptance of these terms

2.1 By entering the Promotion, each entrant confirms that they have read, understood and accepted these terms and conditions. 

2.2 The Promoters’ decisions concerning administration of the Promotion will be made reasonably and in accordance with these terms. 

2.3 In these terms, business day means a day other than a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday observed in New Zealand. 

3. Eligibility

3.1 Entry is open to New Zealand residents who are aged 18 years or older at the time of entry. 

3.2 Employees, directors and contractors of either Promoter, any Hunting & Fishing New Zealand store, and any agency directly involved in administering the Promotion are not eligible to enter. 

3.3 Immediate family members and people living in the same household as anyone described in clause 3.2 are also ineligible. Immediate family includes a spouse, partner, parent, child, sibling, grandparent and grandchild. 

3.4 The Promoters may require an entrant to provide reasonable evidence of their age, New Zealand residency, identity and compliance with the entry process described in clause 5. 

4. Promotion period

4.1 The Promotion opens at 12.00am on Saturday 3 October 2026 and closes at 11.59pm on Sunday 29 November 2026, New Zealand time (Promotion Period). 

4.2 Entry is available through any Hunting & Fishing New Zealand store listed in Schedule 1 during the Promotion Period. Access to each store is subject to its ordinary opening hours. 

4.3 Entries submitted outside the Promotion Period will not be accepted. 

5. How to enter  

5.1 No purchase is necessary to enter the Promotion. 

5.2 To enter, an eligible person must, during the Promotion Period: 

 a. visit any Hunting & Fishing New Zealand store listed in Schedule 1; 

 b. scan the Promotion QR code displayed in that store; 

 c. complete and submit the online entry form, including all fields and questions marked as required; 

 d. select the Hunting & Fishing New Zealand store they are entering from; and 

 e. expressly agree to subscribe to and receive email newsletters and other marketing communications from both Zempire and Hunting & Fishing New Zealand. 

5.3 Any survey responses collected through the entry form are for research purposes and will not affect an entrant’s chance of winning. 

5.4 Only one entry per person is permitted across the entire Promotion, regardless of how many Hunting & Fishing New Zealand stores the person visits. 

5.5 Entries must be submitted by the entrant using their own name, contact details and email address. 

5.6 Incomplete, duplicate, automated, fraudulent, illegible or otherwise invalid entries may be excluded. 

5.7 The Promoters are not responsible for an entry that is not received because of an entrant’s device, internet connection or another technical issue outside the Promoters’ reasonable control. 

6. Prize  

6.1 There is one Prize available.  

6.2 The Prize is a complete Zempire camping set-up comprising:

6.3 The total indicative retail value of the Prize is NZD $10,120. All values include GST and are based on the recommended or stated retail prices current when these terms were prepared. 

6.4 The Prize must be accepted as offered. It is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash, except where required by law. 

6.5 If a Prize item becomes unavailable for reasons outside the Promoters’ reasonable control, the Promoters may provide a reasonably comparable replacement of equal or greater retail value. Any replacement will not materially reduce the overall value or utility of the Prize. 

6.6 Product colours or minor specifications may vary from promotional images depending on availability. 

6.7 Any accessories, fuel, campsite fees, travel, installation or other items not expressly listed in clause 6.2 are not included. 

7. Winner selection  

7.1 All valid entries will be combined into one national random draw. 

7.2 One provisional winner will be selected at random using a computerised random-draw process. Survey answers will not be judged or used to determine the winner. 

7.3 The draw will take place no later than Friday 4 December 2026, being five business days after the Promotion closes. 

7.4 Entrants do not need to be present at the draw. 

7.5 The selected entrant’s eligibility and compliance with these terms must be verified before the Prize is awarded. 

8. Winner notification and claim  

8.1 Zempire will contact the provisional winner using the email address supplied on the entry form no later than Friday 4 December 2026. 

8.2 Zempire may send reasonable follow-up reminders to the email address supplied if no response is received. 

8.3 The provisional winner must respond and provide any information reasonably required to verify their eligibility and arrange delivery within 10 business days of Zempire’s first notification. 

8.4 The provisional winner will forfeit the Prize and another eligible entry will be selected at random if the provisional winner: 

 a. does not respond within 10 business days; 

 b. cannot be contacted using the details supplied; 

 c. does not provide the required verification; 

 d. is found to be ineligible; or 

 e. otherwise fails to comply with these terms. 

8.5 Any redraw will take place as soon as reasonably practicable after the original claim period expires. The replacement provisional winner will be contacted by Zempire and will be subject to the same eligibility, verification and claim requirements. 

8.6 The redraw process may be repeated until an eligible winner accepts the Prize. 

9. Winner announcement  

9.1 Hunting & Fishing New Zealand will announce the provisional winner through its official Facebook and Instagram channels no later than Friday 4 December 2026. 

9.2 If the selected entrant has not completed the verification and acceptance process at the time of announcement, they will be identified as the provisional winner. 

9.3 The announcement may include the provisional winner’s first name, surname initial and region or the Hunting & Fishing New Zealand store selected on their entry form. 

9.4 By entering, each entrant agrees that the information described in clause 9.3 may be published if they are selected. No further promotional participation, interview, photograph or endorsement will be required without the winner’s separate agreement. 

9.5 If a redraw is required, Hunting & Fishing New Zealand may update its channels and announce the replacement provisional winner. 

10. Prize distribution  

10.1 Once the winner’s eligibility and delivery details have been confirmed, Zempire will arrange distribution of the Zempire products to one physical address in New Zealand. 

10.2 Standard delivery to the confirmed New Zealand address will be arranged at no charge to the winner. 

10.3 The Prize may be delivered in multiple consignments. Delivery timing will be agreed with the winner and may depend on product and freight availability. 

10.4 The winner must provide accurate delivery details and make reasonable arrangements to receive the Prize. The Promoters are not responsible for delays caused by incorrect information supplied by the winner or the winner’s failure to accept an arranged delivery. 

10.5 Risk and title in each physical Prize item pass to the winner when that item is delivered. 

10.6 Applicable manufacturer warranties and the winner’s rights under New Zealand consumer law continue to apply. 

11. Hunting & Fishing New Zealand gift card  

11.1 The NZD $1,000 Hunting & Fishing New Zealand gift card forms part of the Prize and is subject to the following conditions: 

 a. the gift card expires 60 months, being five years, from its date of purchase or most recent recharge; 

 b. it is redeemable only at Hunting & Fishing New Zealand stores; 

 c. a maximum of two gift cards may be used in a single online transaction; 

 d. it cannot be redeemed for cash, refunded or exchanged; 

 e. it cannot be used to purchase fishing or hunting licences, ammunition or firearms; 

 f. any unused balance will remain available on the gift card until expiry but is not refundable or transferable; 

 g. Hunting & Fishing New Zealand is not responsible for a lost or stolen gift card. Risk and title in the gift card pass to the winner when it is delivered; and 

 h. the gift card is also subject to Hunting & Fishing New Zealand’s applicable terms of trade, which may change from time to time. 

12. Personal information and newsletter subscription  

12.1 Zempire will collect entrants’ personal information through the entry form on behalf of the Promoters. 

12.2 Personal information may be used to: 

 a. administer the Promotion and validate entries; 

 b. conduct the draw and contact the provisional winner; 

 c. verify the winner’s eligibility; 

 d. arrange delivery of the Prize; 

 e. announce the provisional or confirmed winner as described in clause 9; 

 f. add the entrant to the Zempire and Hunting & Fishing New Zealand email-marketing databases; and 

 g. send the entrant newsletters, product information, promotions and other marketing communications from both Promoters. 

12.3 Personal information may be shared between the Promoters and with service providers such as form providers, email platforms, draw administrators and delivery companies where reasonably necessary for these purposes. 

12.4 Providing the information marked as required on the entry form and agreeing to subscribe to both newsletters are conditions of entry. If an entrant does not provide the required information or consent, the Promoters will be unable to accept their entry. 

12.5 By entering, each entrant expressly agrees to receive email marketing from both Zempire and Hunting & Fishing New Zealand. Each Promoter is separately responsible for the marketing communications it sends and for handling personal information in accordance with its applicable privacy policy. 

12.6 Entrants may unsubscribe from either Promoter’s marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe facility in the relevant email. Unsubscribing from one Promoter will not automatically unsubscribe the entrant from the other Promoter. Unsubscribing after submitting an otherwise valid entry will not invalidate that entry. 

12.7 Entrants may request access to, or correction of, their personal information by contacting: 

 a. Zempire at marketing@zempire.co.nz; or 

 b. Hunting & Fishing New Zealand at marketing@huntingandfishing.co.nz 

12.8 Personal information will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 and the following privacy policies:

13. Fair entry and disqualification  

13.1 The Promoters may disqualify an entrant who: 

 a. tampers with the entry process or QR-code system; 

 b. submits false, misleading or third-party information; 

 c. attempts to enter more than once; 

 d. uses automated entry methods; or 

 e. acts fraudulently or in a way that materially undermines the fair administration of the Promotion. 

13.2 The Promoters may request reasonable evidence before disqualifying an entrant and will make any decision fairly and consistently with these terms. 

14. Liability  

14.1 Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986. 

14.2 Subject to clause 14.1, the Promoters are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from entry into the Promotion or use of the Prize. 

14.3 Entrants and the winner are responsible for using all Prize products safely, lawfully and in accordance with the applicable instructions and safety warnings. 

14.4 The Promoters are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside their reasonable control but will take reasonable steps to minimise any effect on entrants or the winner. 

15. Facebook and Instagram  

15.1 This Promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Facebook, Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc. 

15.2 Entrants provide their information to the Promoters and not to Facebook or Instagram. 

15.3 To the extent permitted by law, each entrant releases Facebook and Instagram from claims arising solely from administration of this Promotion. 

16. General  

16.1 The Prize is personal to the confirmed winner and cannot be assigned or sold before delivery. 

16.2 Any tax liability arising from accepting the Prize is the winner’s responsibility. Entrants should obtain their own advice if required. 

16.3 If any clause in these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining clauses will continue to apply. 

16.4 The Promoters will not materially change the entry conditions, Prize or winner-selection process after the Promotion begins, except where required by law. 

16.5 These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
