What does 12,200 BTU mean for camp cooking?

BTU stands for British Thermal Unit and is used to measure a stove burner’s heat output. Each main burner in the 2-Burner DLX range delivers up to 12,200 BTU, providing powerful heat for boiling, frying and cooking larger camp meals.

All three DLX models have two independently controlled main burners. The 2-Burner DLX Grill also includes a 4,500 BTU lower grill. Adjustable flame controls let you reduce the heat for lower-temperature cooking and simmering.

What fuel does a 2-Burner DLX stove use?

The 2-Burner DLX range uses a compatible 456 g / 1 lb disposable propane cylinder. The required propane regulator is included with the stove. Gas/fuel is not included. Always use the fuel source specified in the product’s Tech Specs and instruction manual.

Can I buy a carrying case for my 2-Burner DLX stove?

Yes. Padded Zempire carry cases are sold separately and designed for specific DLX models:

Can I use a Zempire camping stove inside a tent, RV or camper?

No. Zempire camping stoves are for outdoor use only. Never use one inside a tent, RV, camper, vehicle or other enclosed space due to the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning and fire. Always place the stove on a stable, level surface in a well-ventilated outdoor area. Follow the clearances in the instruction manual and never leave the stove unattended when hot or in use.

How do I clean my Zempire camping stove?

Allow the stove to cool completely and disconnect the fuel source before cleaning. Remove the pot rack, drip tray or grill tray where applicable. Wipe the stove and removable parts with a damp cloth and warm, soapy water, then dry everything thoroughly before storage. Do not use abrasive or flammable cleaners or metal tools. Avoid allowing water or dirt to enter the burners, hose or regulator.
