Airforce 1 V1 Reviews
Posted onAmazing tent, Well worth the expenseWe have had the airforce one for just over one year now and it is amazing.
Setting up is amazingly quick. We set up the airforce one, the aerobase 3, had everything inside both and were swimming at the beach, before the group next to us had their poled version put up. (and no arguments)
They breath well, making living in the tent very comfortable at a reasonable temperature compared to what we were used to with our old tent.
They are also increadibly stable in the wind.
We inflate the tent with the standard pump, and it is up in minutes. It is that simple that the kids inflate the tent while we continue unpacking the rest of our gear.
We went into the store looking at the Titan (poled version). They had the inflatable version on display out the front of the shop. After stepping in and seeing the infatable version, I was sold and was more than happy to pay the extra cost to invest in the inflatable series. I was origionaly unsure of the inflatable versions of the tents and the difference in price. After owning it, I would not go back to a poled version.
We also purchased the roof cover and ground sheet. There was a noticable drop in temperature once the roof cover went on. It made sence in my mind to invest in these two items to help with the longevity of our purchase.
I can not reccomend this tent enough. If you are looking for a tent, do not rule out he inflatable series and consider investing in one. You will not be disappointed.
Posted onBest Tent EverWe have used the tent 3 times and using the standard pump that comes with it we can set it up in under 15 minutes including all the guy ropes. It takes about 10 minutes to pack it away and everything fit easily into the bag.
Everything about this tent has been well thought out from the tent pegs(which use this weird zigzag shape, which sounds like it should bend but it holds strong in both sand and clay and not a single bent peg) to the convenient storage pocket in the tent.
The other surprising feature is how breathable the tent is even when all the windows are closed it is comfortable to sleep in. In the afternoon heat simply open some of the many windows and it cools down with in minutes. We only used the tent in summer with top temperature reaching 45C the tent stayed cool. I should point out that we usual have a large tarp setup over the tent for added protection from the elements. We had a few days of strong winds the tent did not move. The air poles have exceeded my expectation, I was expecting to have to pump them up at least once while we were away but there was no need, even on our longest trip for 7 days it held strong.
There are a few improvements id like to see the first is I would replace the awning poles with adjustable ones, but this is more of a personal preference then a problem. It also would have been handy to have a centre attachment point for the dividing curtain in the sleeping area, again not a big deal we just found that the kids had a habit of push there mattress under the curtain in to our room. The only other thing I would have liked is a few more attachment points for lights.
Do yourself a favour and get this tent I guarantee you wont regret it.
Posted onAwesome tent love itIve had the Airforce far around a year now and it is awesome. The family really look forward to going away camping. The tent stays a lot cooler than the nylon tents. The main bonus is I just sit back have a beer and let the electric pump blow the tent up. No more arguments!!!! love it.
Airforce 1 V1 Detailed Features
INTERNAL AREA | 15.4m2 The Airforce 1 layout is our most popular configuration. Rooms at one end of the tent offer privacy and can be divided in two by attaching the included curtain. Once divided each room has its own internal door, rear window and 3-Way side windows. The front sides of the Airforce 1 can also be fully opened to create another entry/exit or to allow maximum airflow. A unique feature of the Airforce 1 is the zip-out central wall. When removed, a pole free open plan living area is created. A great feature if you want multiple layout options during your stay. The Front wall of the central living area also completely zips open. This creates a seamless transition between the indoor and outdoor living areas of the tent.
